Due to the recent lockdown announcement sadly all BMX sessions are cancelled until further notice.
The Wingz zoom will start up again each Saturday at 11am starting Saturday 16th January.
The BMX track remains open so you can ride your own bike there for exercise, either on your own, with your family or with one other person from another household.
Stay safe and we hope to see you all before too long.
All our sessions are full and our waiting list remains closed at present. We will post on social media when it reopens.
Ealing BMX Club
We are an award-winning volunteer-run community club running weekly coached sessions for riders under 18 and those with additional needs up to 25.
We are registered with British Cycling's Go Ride Scheme and have Clubmark quality accreditation.
We have a lot of demand for places and are only able to offer sessions to exisiting riders. We have a long list of riders wishing to join and have had to close our waiting list for the time being.
Information
We run sessions with British Cycling qualified coaches every Saturday at the BMX track by Gurnell Leisure Centre.
Numbers are limited due to covid and our waiting list is currently closed.
Sessions are organised by experience rather than age. Our WingzBMX sessions are for children/ young people with additional needs.

Sessions cost £7 per rider per session and are paid for in advance in blocks of a term. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for any sessions that are missed, as we have restrictions on the number of riders we can have in each session and a long waiting list. If the Club has to cancel sessions we will carry these over into the next block.
Session cost includes membership to the Club.
We provide a BMX bike and full-face helmet. Riders must wear long sleeves and trousers and provide full finger gloves suitable for BMX.
All parents and riders must read our covid regulations and abide by these.

Occasionally sessions are cancelled, this will be announced on our and our .
Our standard sessions are suitable for children up to age 18. They must be able to ride a normal bike without stabilisers to start BMX.
WingzBMX sessions are for children and young people with additional needs up to the age of 25. WingzBMX is for any riding ability – children do not need to be able to ride a normal bike to join the WingzBMX sessions.
Parents/ Carers of children at primary school and children attending Wingz need to stay at the session and be available if needed.
If your child is high school age and does attend by themselves please ensure we have your up to date contact details and that you have told us about any health issues.
We endeavour to keep a note of the size of the bike and helmet riders normally use and make this available where possible, however riders and parents/ carers should note this is not a guarantee riders will be able to use their preferred bike or equipment.
Riders and parents/ carers must read the Club Code of Conduct and ensure this is followed. If a rider is asked to leave a session due to the Code not being adhered to, no refund will be given.
About Us
Ealing BMX Club was set up in 2014 by Access Sport as part of their highly successful BMX Legacy Project following on from the Olympic Games in 2012.
The Club has been recognised three times at the Ealing Sports Awards, winning Junior Club of the Year in 2018 and the Inclusive and Active Award for our WingzBMX sessions for children and young people with additional needs in 2017. In 2019 Bethany Smith, a long-standing member of Ealing BMX, won the Young Volunteer of the Year Award for her work with our WingzBMX riders.
We have also been awarded the Access Sport Inclusive Sport of the year Award in 2019 and have participated four times in the London Youth Games, coming fifth in 2019.
Our Aims
BMX can provide a unique tool to engage young people in cycling that can lead to a lifelong commitment to sport, recreation and travel.
Our goal is to continue building a sustainable club that engages the community and reaches all groups of children and young people.
Ealing BMX track is next to Gurnell Leisure Centre (now closed), n the leisure centre car park, however this is closed at times for Covid-19 testing.
